Have any of you read what it says though if you put your mouse on the picture?

It says 'Fog of War' - Koumas has made a very dodgy career move.

Bloody cheek!!!

All very odd..

do they have a Palace fan working somewhere in the background perhaps? Im sure there's got to be one somewhere, although you wouldnt believe it, Palace players are so poorly detailed.

Well as someone who's supplied them with player data in the past for Palace Steve, I can tell you that they don't.

That would explain why a few of the youth players at Palace CMFC are quite highly rated(!) Kendall and Woozley to start with. Its the senior players they seem to have the problems with. Things like Craig Foster being a defender (when did he ever play there for us?) Rubins being a forward instead of a midfielder, Black not being a winger.. Morrison being crap.. I could go on.

Anyway I edited my game to put in Amoako, Borrowdale and Cronin, all coming along very nicely (Amoako scores 5 in a game vs league leaders Leeds, Borrowdale averaging 8.00, aged 18, Cronin farmed out on loan.. perhaps I got a little optimistic with their ratings but who cares, its my game :p )

If you're customising for Palace Steve, then you really want to add Richard Howell (right back), Scott Gooding (right back/centre midfield), Ryan Williams (Centre midfield), Robert Smith (centre midfield) as an example of young players playing in the reserve side

I noticed the date too... possible that the guy managing Palace decided to buy him because palace have been linked to him?

They don't have any palace fans in the office, it tends to be Watford, Ipswich and of course Everton.

What is that "Fog of War" thing? No one has given me a straight answer about it.

and why are some of his stats missing

Fog of War means that any player that you dont know will have his attributes concealed. You will pretty much only know the attributes of your own squad and probably of the famous players, maybe a few of your opponents to.

The idea is that you have to send your scouts more than once, to fully uncover a player's attributes. So on the first time you scout him, you'll only see some of them (as with Koumas currently displayed). Its up to them how they handle the details of this fog of war which I think sounds annoying but very realistic.

Thats another gripe Ive been reminded of.. its far too easy to have a player with a bunch of 20's and he's still crap. I found this fullback who has a row of 20s and averages 8.0 but my scouts all agree he is not good enough and I know if I buy him, he will be crap.

In response to the last two posts; the missing stats are because of the Fog of War. This will not let you see some of his stats, untill either he plays for you or you have scouted him, making the game a little bit more realistic as scouting a player becomes more useful.

Yeah I used Worthing Eagle's version which was pretty good but it crashed after 10 months.

So I edited it and did all that myself with the editor.. it crashed after a few days..

So this time I only put in 3 players that I mentioned, changed a little of the current ones and left it at that and so far its okay. Oh btw in my game, Steve Hunt has become a Brentford legend, scoring 150 in 250 games.. he never gets sold it seems because of attitude problems!

I am sure it will take hours to figure it all out.. ahh, excellent!

Can't wait to get the new game, it sounds quality.
