Soccersim (http://www.soccersim.com) - very similar to CM in style, in that there are loads of stats, and thousands of players. It's a bit hit and miss as to what team you manage though - as there are only 4 or so games running concurrently you have to jump in and manage whatever European teams are still available. I think it's still on beta testing (and therefore free); it still is in my game at least.
