Is it a first team game?
Where is Banstead anyway?

At a wedding tomorrow (strategic excuse I know) so I cant make Milwall but want to have a look at the new faces.

Strictly speaking - it's not a first team game and you're likely to see mostly reserves with maybe the odd youth player (although you never know with these type of fixtures).

Banstead itself is a very nice area - just the other side of Sutton/Cheam.

Although it's a testamonial - it's listed as a first team friendly in the adder... and would expect probably most of first team to feature at some point? although don't quote me on it!! http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/smile.gif

As mentioned in another thread - the ground itself is near Tattenham Corner (that's the nearest station).

Yep directions would be very good, I used to play for Warren Mead over in banstead, but never saw Atheletic's ground, I'm on the Tattenham Corner line though!

You asked for it.

Tattenham Corner is a terminal so you'll walk out at the front of the station. Turn right and again until you get to Tattenham Grove. It's right in line with the track. Walk straight up it, walking away from the station as it curves to the left. The top of the road meets Merland Rise. Turn right, the ground's on the opposite side of Merland Rise. The ground is just past the first road on the left, called Chetwode Road.

All in all it's a 10-15 minute walk.
