What’s The Ground Like?
Adams Park is located on the outskirts of Wycombe on the Sands Industrial Estate. The recent addition of The Woodland Stand, (now known as the Servis Pak Stand), a new stand that runs down one side of the pitch has helped a lot to improve the overall look of the ground.
FACILITIES FOR AWAY FANS
Away fans are mostly located at one end of the ground in the Roger Vere Stand, where just over 1,000 supporters can be accommodated. Away fans and are also given additional seating in the Amersham (Main) & Servis Pak (Family Stand) stands. The club has a relaxed friendly feel about it. The ground is situated in a nice setting with a wooded hill over looking the ground (this normally has a small contingent of supporters watching the game for nothing) and with green fields surrounding the other sides.
Entrance will be by cash at the turnstiles. Like most Football League clubs, Wycombe make use of stewards instead of a heavy Police presence. The quality of stewarding is extremely variable. Most of the Stewards have little experience other than at Wycombe and as a result discretion is not always applied but they're getting better. Use of unauthorised cameras within the ground is a prime example. If you're going to take pictures make sure you use your discretion to avoid any conflicts.
The Matchday programme is available outside and sometimes inside the ground. Toilet and teabar facilities are not too bad. Expect to pay around 80p for a cup of coffee and £1.60 for a burger and £1.00 for a cone of chips.
Please note that the Football Club are now admitting away fans to the supporters' bars on a reciprocal basis on production of the appropriate Supporters Club card - check with your Club before hand to be on the safe side.
Where To Drink?
As the ground is on the edge of an industrial estate, there aren't many pubs around. The nearest pub to Adams Park, is the Hourglass in Sands (144 Chapel Lane which is about a 15 minute walk/ 1 mile , from the end of the road up to the ground). Away fans are normally okay in small groups except for big games or local derbies'. Food is served, there are three pool tables, video screens and a trendy Juke Box. Real Ale is Benskins with the more than occasional Martson's Pedigree
A little further afield for the more adventurous, there are:-
· The Half Moon - 103 Dashwood Avenue - Free House - Small Beer Garden, no food - approx. 1 mile from Adams Park
· Friend in Hand - West Wycombe Road - NOW CLOSED
· White Horse - 95 West Wycombe Road - Free House - No Food or Real Ale - 'Erotic' dancers Saturday 12.30pm to 3pm approx. 1.5 miles from Adams Park

There is a supporters club, the Vere Suite behind the Amersham & Wycombe College Stand. Away fans can get admittance for £1, on a first come first served basis, providing that you can prove you are a member of your clubs' supporters club.
Food
... There is a Chip Shop about 300 metres from the Hour Glass on the corner of Mill End Road and Dashwood Avenue. (opposite direction to the ground). There are a few mobile food outlets on the final approach to the ground.
The Town Centre has the usual selection of 'Fast Food' outlets if you're desperate. Chairboys on the Net recommends The Spicy Cuisine in Frogmore for a more unusual selection of fast take-aways. There are also three Indian, one Chinese and three Pizza/Italian Restaurants in the Town Centre. There is also the usual array of Kebab vans in the High Street and outlying roads to catch the punters at 'chucking out' time.
. If you're travelling by road from the north, exit the M40 at junction 5 and try the Fleur De Lys (Real Ale and Food) in Stokenchurch (5 miles from Adams Park). The pub lies to the right of the main through road and is directly opposite the Kings Arm Hotel (re-opened in 1996). Alternatively, follow the signs to Lane End (3 miles from Stokenchurch) for the Clayton Arms and The Osborne Arms - both in the centre of the village and both serving Real Ale and food. From Lane End take The Row, then Park Lane to join the Lane End Road for an scenic back route into Hillbottom Road. Another option is to leave the M40 at junction 4 and when heading as planned towards the ground, after the third roundabout look out for the Hungry Horse pub on the right hand side at Cressex. This is a large 'chain' pub that usually welcomes football supporters - it specialises in food and has a large car park.
How To Get There And Where To Park
Leave the M40 at Junction 4 and take the A4010 (John Hall Way), signposted "Aylesbury". Cross over three small roundabouts into New Road, continuing down the hill to two mini roundabouts at the bottom. Turn sharp left at the first into Lane End Road and continue to the next mini roundabout. Turn right into Hillbottom Road. Adams Park is situated at the very end of the road
There is a fair sized car park located at the ground, or some of the industrial units provide match day parking (around £1.50-£2). As there is only one road that leads from the stadium, I have heard that it can be a nightmare to get out of the official car park at the end of the match. I would recommend therefore, parking in one of the industrial units that line Hillbottom Road towards the ground. They charge between £1 & £2. Please note that the car-parks are not all patrolled during the game - DO NOT TEMPT THIEVES BY LEAVING VALUABLES ON SHOW. Be prepared for a long queue after the game if you park too near the ground!
By Train:
The nearest British Rail station to Adams Park is High Wycombe and is part of the Network South-East rail service. This line connects to London Marylebone to the east or Birmingham Snow Hill, Banbury, Bicester or Aylesbury to the North-West. The station is in the Town Centre and therefore just over two miles from the ground. Two buses depart from the station on match days (see below) or take a Taxi (cost about £4 one way). Allow about 45 minutes to walk to the ground from the Railway Station
Or IF THEY ARE RUNNING (I will check with Wycombe and confirm or otherwise) get one of the football special buses that run from the station to the ground on match days. There are a number of match-day special bus services that have been set up with the help of Wycombe District Council, Buckinghamshire County Council, Motts Travel and Wycombe Bus Company.
A Football Special (No.300) departs the Railway Station for Adams Park at 13.55 and 14.25 on Saturday matchdays (cost about £1.50 return). This route calls in 5 minutes later at the main Bus Station adjoining the Octagon shopping centre in the centre of the town and also picks up at Mill End Road School. The Special returns 10 minutes after the final whistle. Alternatively the 338 standard bus service passes The Hour Glass and the end of Hillbottom Road (about a 1/2 mile from the ground).
