Help with Palace Season

I don't normally start seasons as the teams I support cos as soon as I lose a game I get angry and don't want to play anymore, however I'm so bored I decided I might aswell try and play as Palace. I havent started a season as a division one team in CM00/01 as I always play in Seire A, so I was wondering if any of you could recomend some players to sign.
I especially need a central midfielder and a few defenders oh and probably a keeper as Kolinko's stats are terrible.
