It would be great to have at least that , new manager new start, phoenix rising from the ashes and all that.

It would be good to take our average well above say 18,000 next season, perhaps with a small reduction in match day prices, especially for away fans who do pay too much.

The last figure I heard was over 9500.

Regarding lower admission prices for next year, I couldn't agree more. I know a lot of season ticket holders disagree, but surely a higher attendence would give a better atmosphere, whic hopefully inspires the team to better performances.

ROLL ON AUGUST I CAN'T WAIT ANY LONGER

Apparently sales have been over 10,000 for a couple of weeks. I am told that they are expecting 12,500.

10,000+ would be great. About the away fans though, teams like Crewe, Grimsby, Stockport, Walsall, Barnsley, Bradford will always bring a poor following

I agree with what Peter H said in reducing ticket prices for away fans. 18 is too much in my view. It would also help encourage better atmospheres at Selhurst.

If I was an away fan who was quoted 18 to watch an away game, I would be in two minds. You can understand why the likes of Crewe, Stockport etc bring such small followings with them, when you bare in mind how far they have to travel on top of that. (Not that I'm not ignoring that the clubs in question have poor home attendances as well)

If you want to go to the game then 18 is really no different to say 12. The real expense comes in the travel and food/booze on the day.

If you were to reduce the away end to say 12 you would then have to reduce the home ends to the same price to stop everyone whinging on about it, and to stop the cheapskates all ending up in the away end with the 50 Stockport/Crewe/Bradford fans, just saving themselves a few bob!!!!

I think some people are forgetting though that, yes 18 is dear for away supporters, but the amount Palace fans have to pay when they watch Palace away.
I went to every game last season and some of the prices to watch games at grounds like Crewe, Grimsby, Stockport were well over the top.
When you think of what the away supporters pay to watch at Selhurst compared to what we pay at their grounds they are nearly the same and we have by far the superior ground compared to them.

Even 12500 could be a whole lot better with some proper marketing and invention...

Sorry, but savvy and CPFC will never go hand in hand, so we'll ALWAYS miss the boat.

Still, I think we'll get a good amount of Season ticket sales for the coming season.

Just think if we'd have had a decent season, maybe we could've hit a really high ticket sale

does anyone know whether the introduction of the smart card will delay (or even speed up) the arrival of the season ticket/s???

I have a horrible feeling that there will be a problem with the smart cards, and they will either

a) not work
b) not arrive on time

Yep, that would be a great total. If only we played well to get more people to want to buy Season tickets!

Has anyone received his or her new season ticket or swipe card yet?

Not a fekin sausage. Started paying for it in March and since then haven't had one single letter from the club at all. Only from the company that's collecting their money.

Ah, that Jordan bloke, he's a genius at customer relations, so good to know our club is in such good hands....

They're being processed at the moment and will be sent out between now and next week.

Hope someone has checked that these swipe card things work, otherwise it is going to be even more chaos than normal for the first home game!!!!
