Information on Trains for the coming season.
Virgin trains are changing the way group bookings are made. We must now
tell them several days in advance precisely how many tickets we need and
after which time, they will not give any refunds except if the game is
cancelled at short notice or the train is delayed.
What this means is that we can no longer have any unsold tickets so the last
time for booking will be the previous Saturday (unless we have a home game
on the Tuesday when it will be then). There is very unlikely to be any
tickets available over the telephone or at the station for any trip which
starts from Euston.
Fares will also vary with the time and date of travel. Very early in the
morning will be cheaper but travel on a Sunday / Bank holiday will be
dearer. Against this some fares will be cheaper than last season and for the
first time we will be able to offer child tickets at half the adult price
(from 1st Oct) although you will have to tell us well in advance if you want
one.
