After growing increasingly bored of winning everything and being over 100million to the good in 2012, I have decided to start a new game.

Any ideas for a team to take to the top???

im staring a lot of threads recently

For a challenge go with Kettering.

If you want to start in the Conference, you haven't got any money to perform miracles unless you manage Rushden and Diamonds, they will start off with a lot of money but they will expect promotion (or else). If you don't want that then pick a side with a patient chairman. Don't pick Doncaster, Southport or Hednesford or else you'll be sacked before Christmas in your first season. My personal recommendation is Nuneaton Borough, the side I'm managing at the moment. Also don't forget that those scouts, coaches and players with good stats who you were well used to acquiring when you were in the big time will laugh at you when you make them an offer as manager of a Conference or Third Division side.

Does that mean that they will have to sack you or have you received an offer from a League club

I'm quite enjoying life at Aberystwyth Town (Welsh Premier) and Finns Harps (Irish Division 1).

I can also recommend lots of the Italian Serie C2/3 teams. It certainly is a challenge down there!

I took Doncaster from the Conference to Division 2 in succesive seasons.

I could never stop playing a game when I get that far. It's like a waste of about 200 hours. It gets a bit repetitive winning things all the time but it's still fun.

That's the time to take on a second team!

What is? Anyway, you could always get a job as a crap national team and try to win them the world cup.

A good idea, but only comes once every FOUR years, and qualifiers are months apart, besides, you cant have fun in the transfer market then!

That's what makes it more of a challenge. Try taking on Malta and winning the world cup. If you take over some crap team in the conference or something, the games still pretty easy.

That's over a million more than I've got at the moment with that side.

I've played CM for years and, personally, I play a selection of teams, adding more as you go along.

My current game is Palace (season 3, pushing for a Champions League slot), Rushden & Diamonds (just for the fun of gubbing someone most weeks), Schalke 04 (I started playing as Lubeck, but got offered the job), Aberystwyth and Finns Harps (these two for the "Sunday League" factor).

It's a good crack, anyway.

PS If you haven't played www.sundayleague.com, I'd quite recommend it. It's rubbish, really, but doesn't stretch the braincells too far and is a bit of a laugh.
