I came under attack this evening from a virus via MSN, any people with you in their contacts list will send you a file entitled "ShootPresidentBUSH.exe" the 'person' will then wink at you many times, although this can be spotted as when the person is typing it has the President's address in the bar, not the person your talking to.

So BBS beware the world is not safe

So, How do you get rid of it if you get it?

err...pass, as far as i can tell (currently running latest version of a virus checker) it doesnt affect other parts of the computer and may easily be removed by re-installation.

Press ctrl, alt, delete and delete all files called choke. then go into search files and folders in start, find it in c:/ drive and KILL IT!

i got that as well, pesky fellows.

I also got a whole lot of ;) ;)'s. Got me really angry when i though it was my friends sending it to me!!

The file is also called "choke" and i had one named after one of the contacts on my list... so, look out for them, about 40kb.

I don't see the point or the damage of it, just delete the bugger.

I just took a look at the Network Associates website (http://www.nai.com) as part of my work and there are (presently) no new virus alerts today.

Ahh... making the BBS part of my job... superb. :D
