6 points from 12th

Considering our horrendous start and not being adrift more.

I quite like the look of the table considering only 6 points from 12th and next 5 games still looking good on paper.

It doesn't feel its mission impossible anymore and feel more positive going into games as do the player's

We are gradually pulling ourselves out of the mess. However there is still a long road ahead and we have to keep working hard. The signs are encouraging.

Probably won't be this time tomorrow. We are very gradually making back some ground but we are still in a bad position. Over a third of the season gone now.

It’s a marathon NOT a sprint.

I get that and there is a lot of football to be played and much to play for. But that doesn't change the fact our first 7 games may very well cost us our PL place.

Come on, you don't really believe that do you? NO WAY are we going down.

JDawg 28-11-2017 10:59 PM

We're 25% of the way there but with 33% of games played. What this headline doesn't reveal is whom we've played. We've done the top six and have to play those who we dropped points to in August again. This is very doable. We'll know by Christmas

ThatGingerGuy 29-11-2017 12:01 AM

We have 9 points from 7 games. If we get that tally from the next 21 games we’ll have 36 points with 3 games to go. Needing 3 points to keep us up probably. I’d take that. I’d have killed for it after our start under de Boer.

Mictor Voses 29-11-2017 12:47 AM

Before today we were averaging 1.3 points per game under Roy post the Manchester games. If we keep that up we'll finish on 41 points and will almost certainly be fine. I personally am very encouraged with what I'm seeing. Some solid defending, a well balanced and strong midfield and a spine of the team that won't get pushed around. Long way to go but feeling much more positive than I was a month ago.

Dorking .Eagle 29-11-2017 12:51 AM

Every game that we get something we close the gap on someone. It will take a long ,long time but we can get out of this mess!

I do think by Christmas we will be out the bottom 3, however then we play Arsenal and Man City, so might get dumped back into it

Other concern is that so many of the bottom teams are 'established' Prem clubs, and expect them all to have the experience and resources to also get things going too

Really need the inexperienced side like Brighton and Huddersfield to start dropping like a stone!

DeadPanX 29-11-2017 01:02 AM

We've picked up more points than Spurs and only lost once in the last 5 games. Let that sink in.

gilesy14 29-11-2017 01:14 AM

0 points from 20th.

Asagaya_Eagle 29-11-2017 02:03 AM

A bit more optimistic than I was, but still quite pessimistic.

Unless we sign someone that can take set pieces, someone that can shoot and a keeper we are.

Sleeping Giant 29-11-2017 07:23 AM

We've almost doubled our points total in about 3 days but it doesn't feel like it. Weird. Because we only had those 3 days rest I can forgive the lack of sharpness (and with Bentekkers not fit for 90 yet). If we can be bang at it v WBA in the formation we know we are good at, the Brighton point can look really good.

Hong Kong Eagle 29-11-2017 09:23 AM

Good thread, and all the post game chat is centered on retards with fireworks.

We are up in the mix and no longer adrift
