Positives from Brighton away

I suspect that this thread will die a death as it's far more fun to look at the other stuff, but in the interests of balance:

Mighty pints in the John Harvey Tavern in Lewes pre match & I had a quick chat with Neil Shipperley who was in there.

We kept a clean sheet.

We didn't lose.

Benteke got 90 minutes, so should improve his fitness.

No injuries (Cabaye, maybe?)

I saw psychokiller.

Murray applauding the away support at the end.

The actions of some of our fans has created a Tarquin moral explosion on social media.

A point away from home.

We're not them.

We don't have a stupid ground in the middle of nowhere.

Excellent pies in the ground

No problem getting a ticket for the FA Cup tie that will obviously now get drawn out at the weekend. Based on the number of people who are never going there again and the 4500 allocation, the opening points requirement should be about 100.

Very good ale.

Agree.Arrived in lewes later than expected so Drunk in a pub near the station and it was full of jumper-round-the-shoulder rugger types.Half of them had lanyards on.
:D

We don't have to travel to that stadium again this season!

Chris Finch 29-11-2017 12:01 PM

They poured pints in advance of people actually wanting them

A point on the road is always good

We didn't lose

Not sure whether it counts as a true positive but the graffiti was amusing

This in abundance. Going to and from that tin bowl last night made me appreciate going to Selhurst every other week. A ground that is such a nightmare to get to and from is particularly unsuitable for such an apathetic 'customer' base hence the exodus 15 minutes from time.

Watching the game and then getting a refund on my un-scanned ticket.

Son got a free Palace home shirt from the staff in the food kiosk

Didn't hear any homophobic chanting

Had a nice sausage and chips from the takeaway in Coldean before the game

Traffic on the roads wasn't bad at all when I came and went

Level on points with Swansea now, and if Chelsea thrash Swansea tonight, another small step towards safety

This .. No trouble getting to the ground Via free train from Lewes but coming back it was a fiasco ... didn't get back to Lewes until 11.30.

Both sets of supporters treated like cattle. Makes you appreciate Selhurst.

You didn't enjoy the crush to get onto the platform and find not only a car parked in the middle of the throng of people, but someone sitting inside it, probably wondering what was going on! :D

A clean sheet.

A point away from home.

Appreciating the ability to get to and away from Selhurst Park quickly.

Murray coming over to the Palace fans at the end of the match. And coming back for a second time when the song went up for him.

And the comaraderie between Ward, Hennessey and Murray at the end of the match.

Watching the subs warm down. (Puncheon the slowest )

Seeing Ships and Jimbo in the away end.

And meeting some great Palace fans, some new, some as old as the hills :D
