Flat caps

The other day someone came into my work and started asking why I was wearing a flat cap (Ted Baker) as I was too young and instead I should have been wearing a woolly hat (or beanie I think is what she meant). She said I was too young to wear a flat cap - WTF :veryangry.

So the question is, are flat caps cool or not!? I'm 36 with no hair. :(

Wear a helmet into the office on Monday and see what he says. Then call him a Toby and put your flat cap back on.

Flat caps are the new Fedora.

They look dreadful, no matter what your age.

Are you trying to be like Danny Dyer?

Oi, my granddad wears a flat cap. And Del boy.

Danny Dyer is a moby though.

Why would I wanna look like DD?!?! I just like wearing a hat and always have done, whether it flat or a standard cap. You lose most the heat out of your head and I have no hair. I Also don't like the beanie hat.

Grandads I will left off but equally, a proper hat for older gentlemen such as a pork pie hat looks better.

Peaky blinders !!!

The fact that you felt it necessary to mention that it was a Ted Baker flat cap, suggests that you're obviously quite concerned with what people think of how you look.

If you like wearing it then tell her to politely fark off and continue wearing it.

This is the UK. You can wear what you like.

Not at all, just saying it wasn't one bought from the Oliver Twist days eg. Current.

I have a CPFC flat cap somewhere that dates back to the 80's I think.

Psychokiller 06-12-2013 10:00 AM

I want to wear a baker cap but not sure I can get away with it.

Yea, my Granddad isn't exactly a style icon, unlike his grandson.

So what do other hats say about people?
