If you use DirecTV there is an extra package where you get English Championship games.

Well, looking at current schedule it's only a game or two each Saturday so not so awesome.

Interesting.

I know you are new to following Palace, but when we were in the Championship there were the odd occasions when we would be on the TV worldwide, I just never had the right channels, be it satellite or cable.

I think we are real close... 20 years ago I was climbing on chairs in the back yard with my short wave radio just trying to get a signal to hear the final score on The BBC World Service!

Can't say I miss those days. The technology is there - it will come.

There are Championship games on directv, but not every game for every team. This was the case when we were still in the Championship (the earliest I can remember was that game probably in the Burley days away to Sheff Utd that we were robbed by the ref)

Is there any tv coverage of is weekend's FA cup game vs Southampton? From what I can tell it is not on TV anywhere even England? Is that really he case with two EPL teams playing one another in 2015?

How can we follow the game if it's not on tv? I assume most Palace fans for a Saturday 3pm game in England find an illegal stream if they can't make he match but is or radio coverage as this one may have no tv?

StonePenge 20-01-2015 03:07 PM

Certainly does not seem to be on Fox Sports who have the rights to FA Cup coverage over here.Maybe somebody will come up with a stream on the day.

Radio coverage for 1/24 FA Cup match?

Looks like UK only....

TeamSlack 24-01-2015 05:40 AM

off-topic question...why aren't games televised in England? people always searching for a stream...

wavey 24-01-2015 06:14 AM

I like to think that the FA limit the TV coverage in the UK to encourage people to go to the games. Not sure that is the real reason though.

3pm kick offs are not televised for this reason.

I believe it's to protect the lower leagues, ie encourage people to go
To non league thru the championship.

Time to get some use out of your palace player subscriptions. Will be the first time I've logged in since 2012...

Connection keeps going in and out at the moment. Maybe my computer.

I forgot about these little quirks.

Is okay for me but looking forward to losing connection with Zaha through on goal. Nostalgia.

Bbc London is working for me. http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/player/bbc_london

No, it'll be the same commentary (with connection dropping out throughout the game)

I take back what I said. The stream on BBC Lonon for me was Sunderland vs Fulham. I think you need a UK ip to get the Palace game on BBC London.
