Best Palace Game You Have Been To

What is the best Palace game you have ever been to that didn't mean anything so not including promotion, relegation, play offs, semi finals, finals etc)

Off the top of my head I would say mine is Peterborough

milky87 13-11-2017 09:32 AM

Millwall 4 - 3 & 4 - 1 are up there as is 2 - 1 at home to Coventry, probably a pony game but we were 1 down in injury time

Palace 1 - 0 Millwall. 93/94. We had been getting pelted with coins, batteries etc all game by the knuckle-draggers. Snowed at half time. Armstrong heads in from about 6 inches of the ground.....Mayhem.

Palace 3-3 Bin Dippers. No explanation needed.

l cant remember why but myself, and all around me, went mental when Dean Gordon's late goal, at home to Derby, went in.

For pure emotion..
Stockport... the relief was unreal... never celebrated like I did that day!

Walsall away, midweek, 4-3 win, AJ hat trick, 2-0 and 3-1 down, Kolinko played a blinder despite conceding 3. Despite being behind for much of the game I never really felt we’d lose.

The millwall game was the one when John Humphrey scored the classic own goal, and the Coventry game if I remember rightly Scannell scored both goals

I remember a series of wins against Millwall (in the late Eighties I think) - 4-3 and a 2-1 I think. Palace had a habit of conceding an early goal, and then coming back to win

Liverpool cup semi, and Watford playoff final meant so much

The 2 - 1 was at the Old Den late in the 89 - 90 season. We were 2 up and Jimmy Carter got a late consolation

When we beat Chelsea 1-0 a few years ago, John Terry own goal and belief that we could stay up........

One of the first away games I went to. Snowed all game and when Matty Lawrence hooked the ball in in the 90th minute half of us didn't even realise it had gone in.

We later lost our train tickets home and had to bunk the train back to London.

Maidstoned Eagle 13-11-2017 10:22 AM

Liverpool 9 Palace 0.
