Dave Gahan is the best rock performer in vocal and also standing on the stage and enthusiast all the crowd.
I remember the gig in Colun Germany 1998 when he took the camera from the one of the crew and start filming the audience and the Hands things from side to side but I love their 80's songs more then the last albums of them.

THE O2 WIRELESS FESTIVAL 2006 - ADVANCE TICKETS, LINE-UPS & DATES ANNOUNCED

The Who, Depeche Mode, David Gray, James Blunt, Massive Attack & The Strokes to headline

In June 2006, the O2 Wireless Festival returns to London’s stunning Hyde Park, for 5 days of sensational live music featuring headline performances from Depeche Mode, David Gray, James Blunt, Massive Attack & The Strokes.

Due to the huge success of the O2 Wireless Festival launch in London last year, it will now also take place in Leeds, bringing the event to not one, but two major cities this summer. Massive Attack and legendary rockers The Who will headline the 2-day music fest in the picturesque surroundings of Harewood House, Leeds.

Two of the most innovative and influential bands of our times The Strokes and Massive Attack have just been added to the ever-expanding line up of the O2 Wireless Festival 2006.

For 5 full on consecutive days of sensational live music in London, the O2 Wireless Festival is the only place to be this summer. With great headline performers plus acoustic performance space, chill out areas, side shows, markets, world food caterers and street theatre, the O2 Wireless Festival 2006 offers the very best of the festival experience, all within a stones throw of home.

Both Hyde Park and the spectacular grounds of Harewood House in Leeds will be completely transformed. Multi-stages will be erected to showcase the most technically innovative and musically exciting performances from the world’s biggest and best contemporary rock, pop and dance acts - the atmosphere is sure to be electric.

With media partners XFM, Galaxy Radio and Channel 4 broadcasting highlights from the event, the O2 Wireless Festival looks all set to be both London and Leeds’ live summer music event of the year.

Petes just told me about one in Spain, with Depeche, Morrisey, Franz Ferdinand and Echo and the Bunnyman. Might be good.

Benicassim, South East spain, nearest city Valenica. Went last year, absolutely brilliant, get yourself there. Tickets 105 for 4 days including camping or alternatively get yourself a hostel/cheap hotel like we're doing should we go again which is 95% possible.

Reasons for me not to go:

1) Baby due within a week of that date;
2) see 1)
3) see 1)
4) The other 3 are all crap;
5) It's Spain. Spain is in my Room 101.

Oh, I'd love to go to this; hot line-up and hot climate. Where's a good place to get tickets for it?

JJ 22-02-2006 10:54 AM

Thanks Paul! :)

Miss Chief 22-02-2006 10:58 AM

Yeah, congratulations (again) JJ! Another Palace and DM fan to add to the collection... xxx

Neil the Eagle 22-02-2006 10:59 AM

I'd go, but it is slap bang in the mioddle of palace's pre-season campaign, unless we go back to Spain again, I'll not be doing it.

JJ 23-02-2006 08:34 AM

What the hell, ticket for Hyde Park now bought, on the basis that it's better to have one and be able to sell it if I decide not to go rather than want to go and not be able to.
