Best to call your bracket your BBS username so that we all know who is who (apart from me, who'll be at the bottom as usual - I just do it for fun).

the bruins are performing very well at the moment, ranked no.1 in all the major polls. beat no.6 texas A & M today in our closest match to date, 3 point gap and they missed the chance to level with about 20 seconds to go. Looks like we could be in for another good year! Final Four again please!

jlmatthews 10-12-2006 04:44 PM

UCLA are looking really good. They've definately got some ballers.

One thing I can't wait to see is Greg Oden at 100%. I've met him a few times when I worked in Indiana. A great guy, with his head on his shoulders. I really hope he does well. Except when OSU in playing Purdue :)

wow!!! what a way to beat USC! come back from 10 points down to steal it with four seconds to go, that was amazing! looks like the gators will be moving up to no1 now too with the unc loss. great times for florida.

Why are you two discussing College Basketball, when the teams you are discussing come from weak conferences :p

It isn't College Football season anymore, unless Alabama moved to the ACC when I wasn't looking. ;)

The ACC is the best, but the SEC is getting stronger and currently has 5 teams ranked in the top 20 and Bama are ranked #13 :p

Purdue 11-0.. at home.
2-2 Neutral site.
No wins on the road!!!
Play 'em all at Mackey Arena I say!!!

A bloody big head as well he is like a manimal. He definately seems to have the game about him. His free throw shooting is either sublime or ridiculous with his left hand.

UGA are on the rise and had the referees not handed the game to Bama last Saturday then I think UGA could of well cracked the top 25 this week. Oh well.

arron affalo is crazy good. nailing 3 pointers from left right and center vs cal. really good performance from the bruins, solid in every aspect and plenty of input from numerous players. good stuff, throughly enjoyable.

I only bother when March madness starts...

I've been treated this week:
Wednesday - Attended UGA vs. Kentucky to see UGA come from 17 points down and win in overtime
Sunday - Attended UGA vs #21 LSU to see UGA win on a buzzer beating shot from Levi Stukes.

UGA Basketball is BACK!

But lets face it..... They (UCLA) are not performing to the level expected of them so far. And I say that as a Bruin fan.

All you have to do is get in the field of 65. They'll be there, so they've got a chance... and if they peak at the right time.... SCARY GOOD

major balls up for ucla earlier today at stanford. first half affalo was IMMENSE again, was great to watch him. go in 12 up (i think). then the fouls came, lorenzo mata managed to shot an air ball from the FREE THROW LINE, and affalo was all over the place. even though we were leading by 17 at one point, we lost by 9. bit of a joke really but Stanfords defense really tightened up in the 2nd half, they deserved it. the lopez twins are very solid too.

i dont know what to think about the oregon game on thursday. i think we will pull through it for sure, but after todays shambles theres that little doubt in my mind.

jl is right about being in the last 65, bit of a lottery from there. but losing to stanford is not what we should be doing even when we arent playing our top game. does this further prove the strength of the Pac 10 though? i believe so.

Probably saw one of the worst injuries I've seen in a while today while watching UGA vs South Carolina. UGA's best defender was just dribbling up the court and then tried to stop suddenly only to see his knee giveout. He collapsed to the ground in pain but it wasnt until he looked at his own leg until he flipped out. The UGA coach ran on the court to comfort him. He eventually was taken off the court and apparently his knee popped out. He is definately done for the season, but hopefully he will still have a career left after this. Quite sad. Get well soon Mike Mercer. :(

Anyone seen anything of Kevin Durant yet? He's looked superb the few times Texas have been on NASN.

I just went to watch Washington Vs Stanford. A fairly entertaining game which turned on the Stanford #15 missing an open dunk which was quite comical. Washington have a good young centre who if he stays in college could do well. Stanford have 7.0ft Twins which was a bit intinidating to start with.

Off to watch the Supersonics vs Pheonix on Wednesday which should be fun.
