Anyone who saw Andy Barnes playing for Sutton United will tell you Andy was a superb player. He had great pace, great ball control and a thunderous shot. On signing for Palace he played a couple of games for the reserves and did his cruciates. Palace flew him and John Salako, who suffered the same injury at about the same time to the US for treatment, but for Andy it was career ending. Sadly , Andy passed away very recently, too young.
