When EPPP started the cost models contained within the launch packs stated that a Cat 2 Academy would cost between 1m and 1.8m a season to run.
Allowing for inflation since then and fact that costs in London are high then assume that it now costs 2.1m a season for our Academy tops.
About one third of that cost will be covered by Premier League as they contribute from central fund towards running each Academy.
So cost to Palace is about 1.4m a season tops.
Or putting it another way, about what Cabaye gets paid in 4 months.
Sales will have funded a lot of the running costs - Clyne, Scannel, Moses, Zaha.
