Indeed. Lee Dixon was recently bemoaning the failure of the current Arsenal to do the basics when defending. All the best teams do the fundamentals well. The work rate (and hence fitness) from the Chelsea players this season has been very high. They squared up to a very physical Stoke last week. They defend from the front with Costa putting himself about. It is not the fact that they have flair players that worries other teams. It is the fact that they do all the fundamentals so well that you know you will get few chances against them.
