What made me angry was it WAS predictable that we would struggle against a well oiled unit that know how to play to the system they had set out. It was clear to see we are not prepared/ready to carry out what FdB expects, but to lose as easily as we did against a team that we knew we needed to beat, was very frustrating.
It was clear to see there were players struggling to cope with what they were asked to do, and FdB should have realised that at Half Time and should have tweeked the playing system accordingly. This was vital to show the players also the fans that he can make the compromise if the need calls for as it clearly did today, as make no mistake this was a BAD defeat that will need a lot of analysing and working on this week on the training pitch to prepare us for some tough games ahead.
As we saw last season with Sam Allardyce, when taking over the problems he encountered and clearly a change in direction was needed immediately to get the team back on track, and that is what we Must do now.
The other alternative would be is to ask the Board for financial backing into bringing in the FOUR experienced players it will need to implement his ideas into the setup, we now have the exciting Youthful players in place but it will need time to bed them in like Mensah and Riedwald into a Back Three, if rushed is asking for trouble in the weeks ahead.
This is Not a kneejerk reaction to what was an embarrassing defeat, but recognising change is needed as Big Sam did if we are to save our season.
