Problem with most pundits is they have jaundiced views of certain clubs. They are also lacking in any original thought and comment on teams based purely on what they see at a given point. Sharers comments on MOTD after Sunderland won 4 0 at SP last season epitomised this. He said Sunderland were absolutely magnificent...partly prompted by wanting to please the mackems partly because of his issues with us and totally based on the scoreline. Yes they thrashed us but if we look at their performance critically it was actually very ordinary. We defended like 5 year olds and they did not play in a way deserving of 4 goals. Then there is the constant criticism of wilf who if he put in these performances for city or Utd would be lauded to the heavens. I like Gary Neville and Danny Murphy. Owen is awful. Wilkins is sterile not wanting to offend anyone. The majority talk as if they never made errors missed easy chances played badly or fouled anyone. They lend the lie to the status quo. The top teams are always the top teams. Lesser nations in world cups etc are to be dismissed. Ignoring how many of their players are in top leagues. Ian wright is okay too
Especially on England games.
