I thought Night People was really good as it happens. But Sky and Electric Shock are both better than NP.

IAMX are playing London Heaven in October - probably their only UK date.

Very sad news - apparently Martin Rushent has died. That Dare! is as seminal an electronic pop album as it is, is largely due to his production. I had the pleasure of meeting him and he was a genuinely nice guy - very humble. RIP Martin.

Sorry this is probably irrelevant to any discussion going on here (haven't really read the thread) but are there any synth players between 20 and 25 on here living in the mid sussex/brighton area who would be up for playing in a prog hard rock project?

i only found out on monday that for the last 3 years ive been playing footie with Mark Hollis lead singer of Talk Talk. Fair to say his musical foresight and talent far outweighs his football ability. Very unassuming top bloke.

Yes, they were. They were great in Brighton the Friday before as well, but the RAH gig was ultra special for me... I was in the front row, and took my 6 year old daughter Mia to her first ever concert. She got a big wave from Phil Oakey during Don't You Want Me, and then better still, at the end of Together In Electric Dreams, Susan Sulley called Mia over to the stage, took off her tiara that she's been wearing the whole tour, and put it on Mia. Thanks to Richard Price for the photo: ![]() Then we went to the aftershow party, where Mia was able to have a chat with them and get her photo taken with them all (still wearing the tiara, obviously!) Not bad for a first ever gig, eh? ![]()
