BBQ restaurants London
I wanna try one so any recommendations?
I was thinking the American variety initially for some ribs, pulled pork and burnt ends action, BBQ sauce, slaw & fries... A quick Google suggests Bodeans. Anyone been?

Bodeans is a smoke house rather than a BBQ.

Oh, ok, well in that case I'll include smoke houses too. What's the difference?

About 8 hours cooking time.
Proper pulled pork and burnt ends are done in a smoker. Every man should own his own smoker.

Pitt Cue Co, off Carnaby St, best pulled pork around.
Opens at 6pm with a queue so get there early.

Bodeans is OK, I have only been to the Soho branch, I believe there are others, or at least there used to be others.
I went to Pitt Cue when they were a stall on the south bank and thought they were pretty good, not been to their place off Carnaby St. When they were at the south bank they had some good beers and a shot called something like a pickle back, a shot of rye followed by a shot of pickle juice, better than it sounds.

Red Dog Saloon is good, expected portions to be bigger. Will try the ultimate burger next time & Bodeans soon.

You should check out the Dukes Brew and Que in Haggerston. Amazing food & beer. They have their own brewery on site, other than their own beer they have some fantastic guest beers. http://dukesbrewandque.com/ Been once and going again on Saturday evening.
Oh it's co-run by Logan Plant, Robert's son.

Bodeans hot chicken wings are ace, going the Tower Hill one tomorrow.
Cue some American loving bore banging on about how they aren't as good as Big Tony's Steakhouse off 7th and 14th in Lower Manhattan. |
