Quite probably, but that was not blatantly homophobic.

If peopel want to go around in circles and insult each other, we're not going to stop them (plus the BBS might explode if we stopped that). But not on that thread.

Although I know very little about Corbyn, that asset will be fruitless on his thread because everybody has the same opinion about him already. As regards Brexit no one knows enough about it to justifiably argue any ridiculous, made up assertions I might choose to make

Not intentionally. I did try to correct the title, and it is possible I may have had a James moment

The BBS merely reflects the world now. The Gays are up on a pedestal, at the very top of the Identity Dogma top trumps and anything that upsets them is deemed to be off limits.

Got a nice little thread lined up about something called the 'Prep Drug' which should ensure some fun and games are had by all but will keep that one for another day or wait for somebody else to kick that one off. But fear not, it is coming.

Had a little glimpse in at on the swots forum around locking the thread in question on here though. Ouch. That is all I can say. It does not make for pleasant reading, that is for sure.

Sorry but I just do not get this on any level.

Someone is homophobic. Fine let them post and see them shot down.

I am not sure how much on that thread was sufficiently homophobic to justify it being closed down.

Some people have strong religious beliefs that see them being against homosexuality (or any sexuality outside of hetero) so should their voice be shut down? I do not agree with them in anyway whatsoever but that is not reason to shut down them expressing their views.

In the absense of a sensible reason given, my only conclusion as to why the thread was closed, was because it was getting a negative response on other social media sites. Let us see some consistency now and other threads closed down whenever blatant expressions of Xism are made.

Worst decision since 'Things you have learnt Today' was moved to CCG.

Frankly I think the real reason that the Gay thread was closed down was because whilst all the moderators were on your side, when it became clear I was winning they were left with no choice

You are giving yourself far too much credit. Your homophobia was too halfhearted to claim the victory as your own.

It was Macstar who hit the back of the net. I felt like hobbling off injured at that point.

oh please. It's not even in the top 50 worst decisions we've made. I guess you joined after the fat man can't draw apples thread was kicking about outside the dungeon that is CCG.

I have to admit I did.... but 'Things you have learnt today' was educational while the thread you refer to appears to just to take the piss out of non artistic fat people, which I resemble.

Was that how offensive threads were dealt with back in the day? Just shifted to the back waters to die? If so why was 'Things you have learnt today' caught up in the same net?

I think you may have missed the point of the FMCDA thread.

Probably because it was before my time.

Now reinstate 'Things you have learnt today' to its rightful home. I think my case has been compelling.
