The Forest player in the background of the first Langley "Action Shot" must have predicted where the ball was going judging by the direction he is looking which looks like the corner flag.

Definitely 1984 - start of Coppell's reign. Think those saying Aylott against Northampton are right. Certainly very early season as all in short sleeves.

I think he's looking into the crowd, thinking 'who the **** is that middle aged woman calling Langley a **** louder than the rest of the crowd combined'

why did it go wrong for Tommy Langley an England U23 player looked decent for Chelsea and a good scoring record for them , he was diabolical for us dreadful in fact, was he unfit? how did he pass a medical as it was clear Chelsea wanted rid, I'm trying to think who was the worst Aylott or TL? the pair of them played 111 games and scored 20 goals between them, hopeless.

I certainly went to a midweek match against Northampton in that era so would also have been in attendance

The hair in the first pic looks like Langley or Aylott, but everyone had hair like that then apart from Chris Jones. Mabbutt was blonder

Aylott actually wore the No.9 shirt in the Northampton game.

Aylott lives in Chislehurst.Saw him a while back in a sky blue shell suit running down the High Street. It was like a nightmare-nearly crashed the car.......

You actually saw him running??? Sure it wasn't David Icke?

Should have filmed it on your phone mate, would have gone viral on YouTube. Aylott in full flight was like a blind panda with arthritic knees. Martin O'Neill once described him as having defined the word 'immobile', and that was when O'Neill was paying him a compliment.

We got Langley from QPR IIRC, they bought him off Chelsea

Clearly the cameraman was on his way to an 80's sex party after the match and decided to just go along in his gimp suit to save time.

What a collection of great strikers we had back then! Trevor Aylott, Tommy Langley, Chris Jones, Andrew McCulloch, Ian Edwards and Tony Mahoney. When Kevin Mabbutt turned up it was like having Pele in the team compared to that lot Had a soft spot for Edwards though for scoring that goal against Burnley that saved us from relegation, I think it was his last game for us.

I don't reckon Murray will cut it at this level and you will soon see how slow he really is. This is a to bigger step up for him i reckon"
