Odd old day at Croke Park on Sunday. Shot the minor final and had some nice celebrations during and after the match.

Then for the senior final I was on the managers again, which was pretty pointless for Jim Gavin. Even at the final whistle he had no reaction. Then the circus of chasing everyone around the pitch started.

Dublin winning is probably good for work as it means the trophy stays here in the capital for PR jobs, but my good it'll make Dubs unbearable!

They are unbearable even when they don't win

That first goal inside two minutes - just plucked the ball out of the air, turned, scored. He was brilliant the whole much, unplayable. From that minute Derry just didn't turn up.

This is true.

My old man's Parish is An Fhairche which is on the border with Mayo, and is probably the reason why I'm loathe to shout for our near neighbours. And that you'd never hear the end of it if they did win. And because I am a typically massive begrudger.

It was like watching a young Donaghy, but with more mobility. Hopefully the child catcher in chief Tadhg Kennelly doesn't smuggle him on board the Hougoumont and whisk him of to Australia.

From what I heard he has been offered a move to Australia but he isn't interested at this moment in time. That's what someone from TG4 was saying shortly before the team's arrived.

Galway's youngster Cillian McDaid (Seba, you picked him out earlier on this year as one to watch) is currently on a plane to Australia with AFL trials lined up.

Ahh yeah, remember him. Was the match away at Leitrim I think where I was impressed. Shame, as he was a real talent, but at the same time I can understand the lure of a contract in Oz.

Owen Mulligan claimed his first senior county medal at the weekend, kicking the winning free for Fulham Iri$h v Tir Chonaill Gael$ in London.
He joked afterwards that when the free was awarded he was looking for Peter Canavan to come and take it.

Seba, are they sending you down under to cover the International Rules?

I'm not too fussed on these fixtures, although I don't mind the Hurling/Shinty mash up.
