So maybe they’re not gifts after all .

P18 Bullet Point 2.3 re a going concern. The chairmen will not call in the debt until they can pay it and he us willing to put in more funding.
P31 Point 13 about parent company exemption on reporting. I can't help thinking that is significant.

Parent company reporting exemptions are standard fare, anyone will take advantage of them simply to reduce the admin burden of reporting.

Amusing that their disclosed 'promotion costs' include the 'end of season parade'.

Also quite instructive that their highest paid director (presumably Barber) trousered £1.2m which doubled his previous year salary / bonuses and represented nearly 5 per cent of their turnover.

They only finished mid table in terms of transfer spend though so it's all okay. Completely ignoring that they held on to high value players rather than sell them in an attempt to be a sustainable business. But it's also okay because the losses are linked to infrastructure and improvements. Except they're not as Capex doesn't go to the profit and loss and depreciation on land & buildings is 2% per annum which for them will make up about 5% of their total losses
