First we have to wait for Sky to decide when they want the match played.

Nope. Depends on result of Birmingham v Huddersfield cup replay tomorrow.
If Huddersfield win then game V Palace has to be moved to later in season as 5th round games are weekend we are due to play at Huddersfield.

It's 6th round on that day, so we need to know whether Huddersfield get through 4th and 5th rounds. May not know till very late if they get to 5th round and go to a replay.

And then, even if the fixture remains unaffected by the Cup, it could still be moved for a televised league broadcast that weekend anyway.

Are you sure? Televised games seemed to have been scheduled up until the end of March as our home game against Liverpool is now at 12:30 on 31st

The TV schedule for that weekend is:

Fri 20:00 Tottenham v Newcastle SKY

Sat 12:30 Burnley v Chelsea SKY
Sat 17:30 Liverpool v Watford BT

Sun 13:30 West Ham v Man Utd 13:30 SKY
Sun 16:00 Man City v Brighton 16:00 SKY

The teams in bold are still in the Cup and all have a decent chance of being involved in the quarter finals that weekend. Broadcasters have been known to parachute in an alternative fixture when they lose one to the FA Cup.
There's definitely going to be a re-jig as apart from potentially Monday night, the league broadcasters have nicked all the slots for the cup games!

So our match, however unlikely, could still be moved to:-

Friday evening
Saturday evening
Either of the Sunday slots

I'm working on the basis it probably won't be moved, as it isn't likely to be televised; Sky would be scraping the barrel if it was.

Why the f**k have Sky decided on games that can still be affected by the FA Cup?

Huddersfield v. Crystal Palace
Stoke v. Everton

Brilliant Super Sunday that...

I'm glad you can see what I was getting at earlier today.

Sky have the right to choose another Premier League fixture to televise if one of their picks is postponed. Hence it's a pain making travel arrangements.

I think it unlikely the game would move for TV.

If games Sky are likely to broadcast are moved they will show those games when they are rearranged. They would happen later in the season and could be more important than if they happen in March. They probably would not want our game.

Re read the original post, won’t be Saturday evening (unless BT have said the liverpool v Watford could be moved)

Might be a good option - train up, watch the game, then out on the beers round Huddersfield!
