What was the one with Allison, Clough and Mullery on the tv panel? 1970?

Mullery played in 1970 World Cup. Allison was on the panel and criticised him.
TV company then got them face 2 face after the World Cup.

Before my time, but Eagle Eye always said the 1970 squad was the best we ever had..

Tomorrow is a pain in the are and I feel bad for those who have forked out £££'s and been inconvenienced

For the first time in many years, I am driving to SP - Not prepared to get a train from 3 Bridges to Gatwick, then a replacement bus service to Redhill
, then back on train to East Croydon and change for NJ or Selhurst.
And all to see us probably get dicked.
Really don't why I'm bothering (doesn't sound like Sakho is, either!)

And you just know now that it will snow heavily on Monday night, when we could have a very nice tactical postponement !

That would be typical. Hopefully those still able to run can put in a scrapping performance.

Yes, they did put in a scrapping display, but sadly not quite enough.
But the atmosphere was shite today (really flat) IMHO and and you didn't hear much from the Spurs fans either, until they scored.
Attendance given as 25000 odd but lots of empty seats around
In many ways, this was a similar game to the Man Citeh one, with us hanging on against the odds, but SP was absolutely jumping that day.
And before McpfcS tries to troll me again, yes I know that was also a Sunday lunchtime game, but it was 12.30 KO and not Noon, and we knew for a long time what the date the game was on, not 6 bloody days notice,

I know. A disgrace, and many more disgruntled fans as a result of the mysterious email.

The fact that Spuds only started three players tonight who started on Sunday makes a total mockery of moving our game a day forward. Bet it would never have happened if it had been us

It was stated back in December, when the game was originally moved to the Monday night, that it would be moved again to the Sunday if either Palace or Spurs were involved in a 5th round replay.

The point is that it is short notice and as they foresaw a problem why not schedule for The Sunday anyway as they had the slot available for TV. Takes supporters for granted.

Of course, the game should never have been moved to the Monday night in the first place with possible cup replays that week, but that's a different point. I was just answering "it would never have happened if it had been us" - it would have.
