We don’t need him now. Would rather we save our cash for a striker.

Hmmm, I think it would be better if he just didn't select players like Delph and RLC as they're not playing for their clubs. That would send a message. It'll never happen though.

I'd much rather see RLC back than a forward, then we can revert back to that 442 with the narrow wide midfielders which saw us cut teams apart.

Mccarthur Meyer Luka RLC
Zaha Townsend

I miss that football from last year big time.

Quite often agree with your posts though not on this occasion
Was exceptional during the run in last season, took a bit of time to reach those heights but that was due to injury and getting up to premiership first team pace though when he was firing on all cylinders he fitted us like a glove

We now have Kouyate and Meyer who have/will take over from RLC and Cabaye.
Unless on loan he’s going to cost us a fortune.
He’s shown glimpses that he’s a good player, but anyone who watched him for England this week wouldn’t rush to go and buy him. I also think he “looks after himself” far too well and doesn’t put his body on the line. I’d rather have the Meyer/CK/Jimmy Mac attitude in the camp.

Also we are so light up top at the moment, with or without Benteke we need another striker. Ayew is only a short term fix IMHO.

It's hard to disagree with your reasoning, but on the flip side it is a hell of a statement when you can suggest Palace can do without RLC in the team.
But i agree we do have replacements now that may be better suited to our style, and bringing in a goalscoring striker may be more benefical.

he was playing for a place on the plane though. he's shown his true colours in terms of where his motivation now lies....move on.

end of the day how the **** is the odd 20 min runout going to help a 22 year old's development? Foolish to have stayed there imo. I'd happily have him back in Jan if he's up for it

Unless a player basically strikes they can't insist on anything - Chelsea can stockpile midfielders all they want and players like RLC are powerless. Playing for us got him into the England team and he knows we can help him again. Personally would love3 us to buy him as I have seen enough to think he will be a superstar player one day if he gets the right handling by someone like Roy.

Fair point. Cabaye was missed whenever he left the pitch and he has been missed this season. His reading of the game meant he covered holes before they opened, we have been noticeably more porous through midfield so far this season.

I am hoping Kouyate and Meier make an impact though. Schlupp has talent and works hard but seems to lack belief and football intelligence

Not sure what your problem is with this guy, obviously you harbor something, he's literally the missing link atm.

What does Schlupp have a talent for? Surely not association football?

I don’t harbor anything, as stated above I just don’t think he’s what we need considering we haven’t had a chance to play Meyer or CK from the start yet. They were always going to take time to bed in. If we had RLC he’d probably be starting but i don’t think he’s any better than the signings we brought in over the summer. I think we’ve been figured out by teams and should put Zaha back on the wing where he’s the most threat, allowing our MF to support the striker more. It’s just my opinion.

Feel like it would need an option to buy and a price. If that were the case, I would see RLC as our top priority.

Our missing link is a centre forward who can score goals. Given we are already down to 1 out and out centre forward, if funds are available that is the priority. However if we can get Loftus Cheek on a loan then I'm all for it.
