Bostock and Fonte I heard were the best players on the pitch. Hudson sounded solid.

Too tired to give ratings. Will do tomorrow. Definite penalty but whether it was in or outside the box I think is what the Cardiff players were arguing with the ref about.
Horrific last 10 minutes with us just soaking up their pressure and not even looking like we wanted to score a winner. I could just feel a last minute winner coming from the Cardiff players. Ref was 'ok', nothing special and a fair few mistakes imo. Robbie Fowler did nothing. Victor Moses didn't have a chance to do anything Cardiff should have put a few more away! Maybe 500 or us up there and made a fair bit of racket. Didn't find the ground and fans that intimidating but they did make quite a bit of noise. Night. Zzzzzzzzz |

A good solid away point which I am pleased with.
QPR on Saturday becomes a very big game now.

We need Morrison to start it too. He's the most likely source of a goal up front.

Morrison and Moses to start is what i'm hoping for! No more Scowcroft please.

That would be brilliant but I somewhat doubt it will happen. I would however rest Bostock against QPR and play Soares on the center with Watson and then bring Johnny on during the second half. I do agree that Morrison should start and that Scowcroft should be dropped but I do not see that happening because Warnock seems to like playing physical man up top and at present time we only have Scowcroft who can play that role for us. There is also the possibility of us bringing in a loan striker before the QPR game. I also hope Ifill plays a part against QPR as well. Anyways enough about Saturday how did we play this evening?

going to bed - that's pathetic!
first league start for bostock! I would imagine it won't be long before we see this: Speroni Hill hudson Fonte Butterfield Bostock Fletcher Watson Ifill Morrison Moses Ps. How many penalties now has watson scored without missing?

Give it a rest. I had nothing against Taylor but it just didn't work with him as manager and now he's gone. Whether you wanted him to have more time or not going on about it won't change anything. |

A class team...and exciting times for Palace. Although I do think we need to get in a new striker to partner Moses, Morrison (if he stays) can be the back up for when Moses is rested. I honestly think that if we got a new striker (and possibly GK and RB) this team could go up next year. Back to the ratings - looking forward to reading the views and scores for Bostock, Moses and Ifill. Well done to the 500 or so that travelled. |

I wasn't at the match, but I have now seen the two goals on TV.
Pretty poor defending for their goal, particularly by Hudson who allowed Purse to come in from behind him. Hudson barely seemed to get off the ground, and appeared to be ball watching. I suppose it's possible that Purse used Hudson's shoulder for a bit of leverage, but even if he did there was no excuse for letting him jump unchallenged in that manner. I would say we were rather lucky to get the penalty. I froze the picture at the moment of contact, and Soares was half a yard outside the area. Fortunately, at that time the ref was 10 yards away, and there were a few players between him and the incident. Well taken penalty by Watson though. |

Poor defending for their goal, but it was their only chance of the first half and we were the better side. Still not sure if it was a penalty, and Songo'o was crap, but apart from that encouraging.
Second half with Scowcroft off i thought we struggled, didn't really create much apart from the odd half chance, but again defended well and didn't look like conceding a winner (apart from the last 10 mins when Cardiff woke up). Lawrence had an absolute stormer at right back, and Hill looked decent enough as well. Moses barely had a touch and at left wing i wasn't expecting much, but a couple of good defensive headers when we were under the cosh did their bit. Watson was good as well, but unfortunately again Clinton didn't really get a look in. Something more to build on before Saturday! Oh and Schmeichel, what a twat, part of me wanted Watson to just rifle that pen at his bollocks, even if it did mean he didn't score... |
