FA Cup Final at Selhurst Park !

.... women's, that is....

Crystal Palace FC was today unveiled as the venue for the 30th AXA FA Women's Cup Final. Attending the announcement were Alan Smith, the Palace manager, Sian Williams (Arsenal captain and midfielder), Katrine Pettersen (Fulham captain), Lyn Armstrong (Southampton Saints captain) and Stephanie Curtis (Bristol Rovers striker). The final will be held on Bank Holiday Monday, 7th May 2001 (3.00pm) and Palace Chairman Simon Jordan was very pleased with the news. "We are delighted to be holding such a prestigious event and I'm sure it will be an absolute success," he said. Ray Kiddell, Chairman of the FA Women's Committee, was also happy with the choice of Selhurst Park, commenting: "Crystal Palace are a community club who are providing wonderful facilities in and around the ground to make the day a great event for the women's game."

I assume they're going to relay the turf before that then ?
