Having done it for 4 o'clock every day I was just a bit early for any links from the press conference. They will all be included in tomorrow's round-up though.

Without a doubt. His quote on Wilf today is amazing. It will feature tomorrow for sure. He certainly didn't pull punches

To view the link you have to Register or Login Ian Holloway’s first full press conference took place yesterday, and we have all the reaction to it in today’s round-up. He had interesting things to say on a multitude of subjects, ranging from Jonny Williams and Wilf to his domestic family life. Rather than just being impressed with the standard of the squad, he’s sure that the set-up at the club is as high as he’s ever seen, which is obviously fantastic to hear. Palace Radio have uploaded the ten minute interview they did with him, which you can listen to if you so wish. It seems we will have to make do without the strength of KG in our midfield in the early part of 2013, as the South African will be part of his countries African Cup of Nations squad. There is also a part of The Guardian’s Football Weekly Extra podcast which focuses on us and Ollie, the link to it is provided. The Two Unfortunates blog has got at extensive piece on the 1990-91 season from a Palace fans perspective, I really enjoyed it, hopefully you will, too. Five Year Plan’s Sam Hesketh has written about his love for our new number 7, Yannick Bolasie. The winger is fast becoming a fans favourite and the article really captures why we’ve all taken to him so quickly. Finally, there’s news of a possible attempt from Didier Drogba to persuade Wilf to switch allegiances to the Ivory Coast, it’s possible I suppose. Any feedback is more than welcome. Until Monday, enjoy. |

The past week has been an incredible time to be a Palace fan, a new manager has arrived with almost universal approval from the supporters and we have won all three of the games we've played, it really doesn't get much better than that.
Below I have tried to sum up what the last week has felt like from a supporters perspective and if you could read it and let me know what you think, it'd be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. To view the link you have to Register or Login |

To view the link you have to Register or Login Today’s round-up is predictably based heavily around Wilfried Zaha’s call-up to the full England squad for their friendly against Sweden on Wednesday. There is a link to the story from Neil Ashton, the man who initially broke the news that Zaha had been selected by Roy Hodgson, whilst I have added a small timeline to last night’s sequence of events. Darryl Murdoch has written a piece for Five Year Plan, about the pride we should all take in the wingers’ call-up. It’s an emotion Gary Issott will clearly have no trouble expressing, as he gives his reaction to the news. Ed Malyon has written extensively about Wilf’s rise to prominence in the English game for The Mirror, whilst as a final piece of Zaha related news, co-chairman Steve Browett has reiterated his belief that the 20-year-old has what it takes to shine at the highest levels. There is a wonderfully passionate match report from Saturday’s win against Peterborough from Red N Blue Army, he really does tend to capture the mood well in his articles. I have written about the last week in the life of a Crystal Palace fan, trying to sum up just how good it’s been and coming to the conclusion that it’s about as close to perfect as it gets. To finish off there are a selection of videos, the first of which comes via YouTube and captures the aftermath of our equaliser and the whole of the winner on Saturday through the eyes of a fan on the terrace, it’s well worth watching. There is also a link to footage of the goals, should you not have already seen them. Finally, there is a video of BBC Breakfast host and Palace fan Susanna Reid singing “He’s Just Too Good For You” live on air this morning as news of Wilf’s call-up was discussed. Hopefully you enjoy it. Any feedback is more than welcome; please let me know what you think. |

I'm starting to believe big things can happen if we maintain the team and run we have and add to it. I've got local Arsenal fans etc asking about tickets to Palace now we are suddenly top of the league. Now I think it's a bit ugly these guys being suddenly interested and I'd hate to be a club of fans like theirs but we could do with the income. If we maintain the style and success then maybe we can finally tap in to this large potential we have had.
