Yeah, came through as a CB. Moved to RB so he could try to break into Liverpool's first team. From things I've read, they think he will make a good CB if fit.

But he's still a donkey and he's worse than Gabbidon.

Gabbidon was unlucky to be dropped last season.

Totally agree, needs Dann/Delaney to start Hangeland should not be automatic starter, obviously with Dann injured it caused a problem. However my choice would've been Kelly and Delaney at cb with Ward rb and Mariappa at lb.

Hope he doesn't become a scapegoat but don't you agree he was very poor today?
Several others were poor but he was awful.

Doesn't mean he couldn't improve but today he was very poor as he was for Fulham last season.

Wasn't he one of the players Pulis wanted to get in?

Not sure you can have it all ways, folks.

He didn't look very good though.

Sorry, but you thought Ward was as bad as Hangeland?

Yes, Ward did not have one of his better matches, but still...

Crying out for a LB in TWO transfer windows, still no sign of one.

Disappointing.

Not a scapegoat, he's costing us goals.

1st Goal vs Arsenal his man scored, free header

2nd goal vs Arsenal, his man, a much smaller player beat him in the air and the ball went straight to their striker.

3rd goal today vs West Ham, His man scored, was free in the box, Hangeland just let him get wrong side

They also hit the bar today from a free header from the man he was marking.

The guy is just a complete liability.

It really is this simple why at Palace do we have to put square pegs in round holes FFS

I agree and know what you mean. In fact I hate threads like this usually.

However Hangerland has been a huge disappointment so far and looks like the Hangerland of last season at Fulham and not previously.

Probably been responsible for more goals conceded so far than Dann and Delaney last season combined

Cant have passengers at CB, really disappointed in him

It'd be helpful if we had some pegs to use in the first place right now!
