He was crap today. But he will know that more than anyone.
Jedinak is far from our biggest concern. |

yes ..Im afraid so. Hasn't been great for a while now, and plenty of competition for midfield places now.

Nothing wrong with a bit of competition and now we've got mcarthur hopefully Jedi will up his game. It's a long season and he will play his part, but it's good to know we've got options. Very poor game today from MJ perhaps he needs a rest. More worrying is our lack of fire power up top, it didn't really happen for Gayle today and Doyle, Campbell and AJ aren't the answer. If only Jerome could finish he would've been the perfect man up front for us this season.
As for Jedi, no one is undroppable and the team needs to be picked on merit. Bit too early for the hysterical BBS crap and need to find a scapegoat though! |

He always takes about 5 games to get going at the start of the season. Could of done with being subbed today but should no way be dropped

He really is.
If he plays badly then it puts too much pressure on the defence that he is supposed to be protecting. In a team like ours we can't afford to have any of our players having off-days. So far Jedinak has had 4 poor games out of 4. |

Bad game, but got a knock and couldn't be replaced. He will come good again. Relax.

He was shit today but we would be insanely exposed without him in there.

His tackling today was akin to driving a bus into the opposition, but more often than not he came out with the ball so means to an end and all that. Passing rather suspect and nearly gave away a goal. He'll come good again though soon

Stop making excuses for him. He has been poor since the end of last season. He shouldn't be irreplaceable and he has been costing us points. What he was doing for the penalty I'll never know. The free kick he gave away before it was embarrassing. He barely made a pass. He lost nearly every aerial battle to Juteivic (sp). Ledley and McArthur in the middle who can win the ball nearly as well and then actually hold onto it would be far more effective. |

I fail to see how any player can retain a place in a team at this level, when you struggle to complete short range passes as Jedi is regularly doing now. Yes evryone knew his passing can be poor but he's reaching new levels of incompetence this season I'm afraid.

He's looked mentally and physically shattered all season.
Probably no real surprise: long season playing virtually every minute, followed by a World Cup and then a very brief break before pre-season. He is also captain for club and country, which is draining in itself, especially when there is upheaval at the club, and he has one or two very young kids, which also adds up. Add to that the prospect of the Asia Cup in January. He needed a proper break in the summer (even if it meant missing a few games for us), and didn't get it - whether that was his decision or TP's, who knows (though I'm very dubious about TP's pre-season methods, personally; running and cycling a lot doesn't cut it in 2014, and I don't think we look a massively fit side right now). |

Fatigue, mental and physical definitely looks a factor in Jedi's case - he surely could've been been rested for more of our pre-season considering he hadn't had enough time out to need to get back to match fitness.

It would be extremely awkward to "drop" the captain.
It cannot happen unless he requests it, I would imagine. |

Been good in the last few games.Poor today.Would be stupid to drop him though. Can we stop the overreactions to every result.

No-one should be undroppable if their form warrants it. No use having him as a liability in the middle of the pitch when we've got other options who can come in.
