Ward Dann Delaney Friers Jedinak Ledley Zaha Puncheon Bolasie Gayle If Puncheon fails to impart himself in the Chamakh role than take him or the worse of Zaha or Bolasie, and put MacArthur from the bench through the middle. Putting Friers in as a hopeful punt really. |

I think we have the players to do well, but am not sure the manager has the knowledge, flexibility or panache to get results with the squad. I'm a bit worried tbh.

Well said, it's Holloway all over again, the subs Saturday were baffling to say the least

Everton's full backs push on, Zaha and Puncheon could capitalise (sp) on this. Jedi could do with a rest, but will probably play. Doyle up top, with Gayle to come on circa 65mins. Delaney and Dann at cb, Ward right, Fryers left. Ledley, Mac and Jedi in the centre.

I thought Doyle looked promising. He will do the Cameron Jerome role, but with a bit more goal threat. As much as I love Murray he was never gonna run the channels, bully defenders and defend from the front.

Doyle looked lazy to me, I'm amazed if he turns out to be half as useful as CJ.

Doyle is not lazy. By all accounts he was banished from training with the first team at Wolves, give him 5-7 games then judge him.

If it does take him 7 games to find his feet, then that will be over a quarter of the season gone by this time. Our manager has apparently seen something in him to suggest he can do a job for us, I'm just hoping he has seen him play for Wolves because the Kevin Doyle at Wolves was a lot different to the Doyle at Reading and that was some time ago now. |

I think Doyle was a handful when he played on Saturday. Won most of his headers, and that's the sort of player we need linking up with Gayle (if we can't have Murray) Jedinak had a poor game on Saturday and with Ledley and McArthur now vying for places, I don't think he is now 100% guaranteed a starting place anymore. I was caught up in 2 minds between Zaha/Bolasie starting on the RW, but Bolaise was so poor when he came on against Burnley. Still not sure if Fryers is match fit hence why I put Ward at LB and Kelly at RB. Kelly has looked promising in all the games he has played and likes to get forward. |

If I travel all the way up to Liverpool to see Doyle start up front, I shall be throwing myself in the Mersey.
