Where is our "famous" atmosphere
3 corners of the ground were silent again today. Pathetic when it was deemed a remarkable day of comebacks. All very underwhelming....
Let's get behind the team more again! The loudest we were today was singing about AJ and his magic hat when he wasn't even on the pitch today. I for one have some new faces around me and thus far have contributed zero to the atmosphere bar the odd diatribe aimed out our players so I hope the read this when I say you aren't wanted! Leicester at home next. Will be embarrassing when they come and sing our songs louder than us.... We weren't that bad today therefore the team deserved a little more than the minimalist we love you towards the end... You loved them 3-3 Liverpool and so fourth... Why not sing it today!? So frustrated to see so many leave when penalty conceded as well. We looked and sounded like premier league fans filled with too much expectation today... |

I disagree. I was in block B so it is hard to judge the rest of the ground but it sounded like they joined in a lot at times. Surprisingly so considering it wasn't inspiring on the pitch and I couldn't hear the away fans much to rile us into action either.

If you want to comment on atmosphere, have a listen to the famous Anfield kop on TV now. Silence.

Atmosphere has died a death. It is NOTHING like it was before the debacle at the start of our season.

It's because they took the goal music away.

I thought it was great (from the lower Holmesdale). Some people on hear need to get a grip, and get some perspective. As Penstone Eagle says, Anfield is silent. As were all the other Premier League games today.
The atmosphere in relation to the crap on the pitch was impressive. |

The fans are badly polarised and that has detracted from the atmosphere.

It wasn't as good as times last season but it was probably due more to a fairly sub standard performance again. Had we scored from any of the 3 very good chances in the first 15 minutes both the noise level and performance would have been better.
Not going to make a big thing out of it as i'm desperate for pukis not to screw our entire season. He was good, but we can stay up without him. Its always a bit chicken and egg with atmosphere I reckon, the players need it from the crowd, but the crowd need something from the players as well.

Terrible no atmosphere no noise at all from aw could at times hear a murmur from block B but nothing like last season felt flat and completely detached. Don't know if it's related to the HF having an agenda that does not only involve supporting Palace.
Hats off to Burnley who were loud and behind their team to the end.

It was good first half, less so second half but understandable given our lacklustre performance...nothing wrong with the crowd

Definitely this. Even the HF were silent for the last 25 minutes of Fulham at home last season (not that I blame them).

You haven't made it clear where abouts you watch the game from, but I guess you are one of those in the first category. The comment about the HF is laughable. Who do you think they have turned up to support? They didn't stop singing and backing Palace throughout the match, even in the build up to the free-kick and penalty, where the rest of the ground were just holding their breath. Burnley might have been loud were you were gasping from, but we couldn't hear them at all in Block B.
