Poor today, but our "famous" atmosphere was always overhyped anyway. Holmesdale A-D and parts of the Arthur are always lively, but even last year the rest of the ground was crap when there was nothing much exciting happening on the pitch.
From holmesdale burnley fans didn't seem to be very loud but our ground does have shit acoustics so they were probably loud from the Whitehorse end! |

I think that I am just annoyed about the HF bleating in about the Premier League and sky do the you tube videos let off fireworks etc all they want but leave it out on match days particularly after they have supported the Premier League by coming to the game. No doubt many disagree with this but it's my view.

BBC radio commentator spent as much time talking about how great the fans were as he did about the match. The 12th man he said.
So is this just another moaning thread?

We need inspiration on the pitch and today, other than Jules save, we didn't get that.

Atmosphere was good, the owners will continue to be great, we got away with a point when we could have lost the game. Not looking too bad.

Hard to get motivated for a performance like that. Atmosphere started well then as the game got worse and worse so did the atmosphere.

Was poor against West Ham and poor again today. Even B block was simply going through the motions for most of the game. Perhaps the novelty of last year has worn off, or perhaps the whole TP/Moody/FFS saga has meant we've started the season under a cloud.
Lots of day trippers too. People I've never seen, don't contribute. |

Does feel that way, doesn't it? Just need a good performance and/or a win and I reckon we'll be off and running again. Was always going to be a big ask to recreate last season's brilliance. Confident we will, though.

Second season. I thought this might happen.
The booing at full time was pretty pathetic. |

Nah - he is overdoing it. Atmosphere was not great.

What's so amusing? I've had a season ticket in the same place in B block for 6 years now - I know most of the faces around me and today the top of the block was full of newbie day trippers.

I'm in Block B and there was a pretty loud applause at full time, especially when Speroni was heading off the pitch. Didn't hear any booing. |
