Hard to argue on these points.

To add to my post - I'm not yet resigned to relegation and forgive me Cleon if this seems trite but this is one of the sayings that is beginning to wear particularly thin.

What's the cliche? something about a game of two halves? Playing well for 70 minutes is fine - other than we let in two goals in the remaining 25. Indeed we played really well in the second half against WBA. Trouble is we'd let in three goals in the first half.

I appreciate the luck point but I think, sadly, it will turn only when we play well for the entire game - or we'll lose as we have demonstrated on a number of occasions recently.

Well I have my season ticket for next year and will buy one the season after. I support palace whatever division we are in.

If we stay up we stay up if we go down we go down, I will still meet mates have a beer and watch football.

Although having more games to play and more Saturday 3 o'clocks is a bonus in the championship !!

For your interest Norwich have lost 8 of their last 9 games and drawn one and have 4 points out of their last 11 games
Newcastle have picked up 7 points in their last 12 games and lost their last 6 away games.
Sunderland have picked up 6 points in their last 7 games.

Based on this it is highly unlikely that they are going to finish above Palace who have a 10 point lead over them due to the goal difference advantage.

Villa and then two from the bottom 3 seems most likely!

We should not in any way get relegated, but we have to think as much about next season, and the impact of this continuing run on that season as a whole - attracting new players, confidence etc!

One choice - continue to get behind the team as the vast majority of us have done since supporting the club - we are in the Premier League and but for a major upsurge in results for the bottom 4, we will still be there next season!

Problem is that we are giving the others a team to aim for.

Two games on the trot where we could have put this season to bed.

We should've had 38 points by now but have given 5 away in injury time. Classic Palace as we used to do this time and again. We will only be saved from relegation if the teams below us suck more than we do from here on in. If they find their form we are done for.

There are 4 seriously sh*t teams in this division, and I would be surprised if any, let alone 2 of them put a good enough run together to get them enough points to trouble us. Sunderland look the best placed, simply due to Allardyce actually knowing how to set a team up.

This is not to dress up how poor we are right now, just that it is a big gap still.

I would be much more worried about next year. Momentum is a big thing in sport and there may be a lot of repercussions from this terrible run. Will the manager still be there? Will Dann, Bolasie etc stay? Will we get good players to join us?

Who else is resigned to relegation?

As bad a run as we are in, we should have just enough to crawl over the line.

But there is something macabre about this slow-motion implosion we are going through.

Any longer term supporter knows that only Palace can do things like this to you.

If we actually had a scouting network they might have identified some targets. Look at Bournemouth and Afobi.

Well, certainly not players like:

McCarthy
Sako
Mutch
Lee
Ameobi

His tactics and substitution have been laughable and in the last three months we have lost to all those clubs fighting relegation bar Swansea, Newcastle and Norwich, of course we still have to play the last two, but I'm not holding out hope. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a plan B as and when things go awry on the pitch. It would be sad to see us waste the last two years by getting relegated, especially with the financial windfall being handed out next season to premiership clubs. Even if we manage somehow to stave of relegation this year, l am fearful of what will happen next year. Parish talked the talk whist courting the Americans, but the clubs lack of ambition in the January transfer window was laughable and plain for all to see, more so as we knew exactly what type of players we required to address the downward spiral. Unfortunately, we have far too many average players in the squad who lack the quality required to provide cover as and when injuries occur! Basically we have been found lacking and there was an element of arrogance from both Parish an Pardew in January as both felt the job had already been done, how wrong they were. Should we end up being relegated, the clubs management will only have themselves to blame. I have supported Palace for over 50 years and l am amazed how we make the same mistakes time and time again, will we ever learn?
Exactly.

This has all the hallmarks of a classic Palace relegation. 2nd in August, 5th at xmas, now sinking like a stone. I got 33/1 a few weeks back and that looks more likely every week. Norwich at home and Newcastle away are 2 massive 6 pointers. March appears already a write off and if we lose at Reading any small confidence will also go. I have a bad feeling about this....
