Love that "nearly 52,000 fans" stat

At least you had the good grace not to write "Palace fans"...

A few short years later the loyal 5,000 were rattling around Selhurst as Palace suffered the crushing ignominy of second tier football again...

Surprised though that Palace are also keen on their version - but I guess the Always Ultra Spurs fans aren't that well versed in the record books...
Admit it you're a little bit of an anorak aren't you, a bit like EE, she likes making lists too, and for the record you missed Boxing Day 1986

Yes, you're right. I think I originally deemed that outside the heyday of the rivalry (crowds at both grounds on the wane) and then forgot to add it in to the overall postwar stat...

Congratulations. Our "Boxing Day" dominance is not as complete as I claimed...

Still not bad though...

I know it still makes it 7-1 to you guys, but hey ho.

And I do remember you giving it the biggun in 2013, about how useless we were in our first (of out 6 seasons) in the Prem, how Brighton would probably replace us, the next season and laughably of all, how the Play Off defeat didn't really matter.

And then you disappeared and sulked when the opposite happens. You Sir, are a typical Brighton fan. You give it out and you can't take it.

I wonder if a Palace fan went on NSC and posted like you, how long would it be before Twatface Bozzy banned them ? 2/3 posts ?

Here's one for your history book - we were the first team to beat you in a competitive match in your new bowl-a-rama.

It worked out well for us...

How can you talk about the balance of power when you've spent the majority of your history in the bottom 2 leagues ? Only a Weed could come up with that LOL

we'll see, at least we will have the opportunity to change that, as for you, you can never take away the fact that we were the first team to beat you in a competitive match at the wonky warehouse and also play you off the park on that famous evening in May 2013

Err...no. That would be Liverpool, a week earlier in the League Cup.

Try again.

I'll limit myself to 2 points.

1. Brighton & Hove is the 12th largest conurbation in England. It is famous for being the UK's most populous seaside resort with a thriving local economy and metropolitan feel - "London by the Sea" if you like.

Reading is Reading.

With no other real clubs close by Brighton has a "catchment area" to itself of 1.6m. I'll spare you further details on fanbases and historic attendance statistics.

2. Tony Bloom is the third generation of his family to be on the board at Brighton. He has stated often that his young son will eventually make that four generations. The Bloom family is considerably richer than John Madjeski and has funded and managed the Albion in a completely different way to that achieved by Madjeski at Reading.

Apart from that the two clubs are almost identical.

Let me have a go.

1. Reading stripes are horizontal, BHA stripes are vertical.
2. Reading fans happily moved ground, they didn't lose theirs because of apathy, and they didn't become footballing gypsies.

That's it really.

That's pretty much it

Right, and then you slipped down the league whilst we remained divisions above you and didn't get any opportunity to beat you, because you were too shit. So the rivalry was 'lost' then right?

No fella, every time we don't play you and we're above you it counts. Or are you telling us that Watford and Luton are somehow on a level footing right now?
