Yes, you're right. I think I originally deemed that outside the heyday of the rivalry (crowds at both grounds on the wane) and then forgot to add it in to the overall postwar stat...

Congratulations. Our "Boxing Day" dominance is not as complete as I claimed...

With no other real clubs close by Brighton has a "catchment area" to itself of 1.6m. I'll spare you further details on fanbases and historic attendance statistics.

2. Tony Bloom is the third generation of his family to be on the board at Brighton. He has stated often that his young son will eventually make that four generations. The Bloom family is considerably richer than John Madjeski and has funded and managed the Albion in a completely different way to that achieved by Madjeski at Reading.

Apart from that the two clubs are almost identical.

Let me have a go.

1. Reading stripes are horizontal, BHA stripes are vertical.
2. Reading fans happily moved ground, they didn't lose theirs because of apathy, and they didn't become footballing gypsies.
