Earliest Dismissal

Today's game against Grimsby witnessed one of the quickest 'red cards' at Selhurst Park, I think it was in less than two minutes from kick-off but await verification.

I think there has been a similar incident at SP where an opposition player has been sent off within minutes after the kick-off.

Can anyone help me with this one.

Didn’t Vinnie Jones get sent off for Wimbledon after about 1 minute? But I can’t remember if that was at Selhurst or not.

Vinny Jones was booked after about 5 seconds for Sheff U against Man C. Went through a player right from the opponents kick off.

The fastest English sending off on record is Kevin Pressman after 13 seconds for Sheffield Wednesday against Wolverhampton Wanderers on 13 August 2000.

Can't recall an earlier sending off at Selhurst than yesterday though.

A player was sent off at my local non league club Bashley after 3 SECONDS.
Clark Carlisle was sent off playing for Burnley at Selhurst in the 5-0 win following a tackle on Scott Sinclair after 7 minutes.

Think the world record is two seconds after a player who was standing next to the referee swore at him for the whistle being blown too loud at kick off

That 13 second record is even more impressive when you recall he was a goalkeeper.

Andy Gray is the quickest Palace player to get sent off at Sehurst, isn't he? Early doors v Chelsea in August 1990 with Dennis Wise. And he scored a penalty first!
