A trolley full of tear gas? I tried to shift one of those on Multicoloured Swap-Shop for years, to no avail. Sad memories.

It is going to be strange. A lot of the Brighton fans now are quite new and quite rich, relatively recent residents of Brighton. As we know, many had a team already and are engaged in the 'first and second team' model.

Then you have all the scumbags from the Whitehawk and Moulsecoomb estates who lived there when Brighton was a dirt hole and from before the economic and social cleansing of the past couple of decades. Some have hung on, some have migrated not too far away... most original scumbags will be 50+ years of age now and should know better...!!!????

Lets face it, fans from both sides are richer than most other clubs, even if ours aren't new.

Amazed if you see more than hangbangs outside of the internet.

I agree, but I fear that the old bill might do their usual trick of 'missing' the main trouble at the time but then subsequently enjoying loads of extra team members to go through footage on double time pay for months and months culminating in some miscarriages of justice in order to justify their own existence.

I have been to all three games at the Amex.Apart from the first game when there was an absolute balls up by the police (to be fair it was their first game at the stadium that was high risk) it all seems to run smoothly. The special train home seems to help.

Agreed. Football has moved on and the Premier League definitely has. Can't see these games having much, if any, trouble in or near the ground. Posturing but nothing more.

Can't agree with your "run smoothly" view.
First game, we drove and parked in Lewes and waited for the train to the ground.
Doors opened and a big, ie 6ft 6in, Palace lad was helped off by his mates with his face a sea of blood, assumed broken nose.
Police held up train for 20 mins, but no real attempt to track down the culprit.
They're total scum, and I just wish the "we'll never play you again" song that we sung leaving the ground after the play-off had held true.

The first game was very much trial and error. We drank in some central Brighton pubs for that one and Lewis for the play off and it was obvious to both sets of fans who was who.Nobody seemed to be trying to cause trouble and both sets of fans just seemed to get on with drinking.( not with each other though)
