I think there are probably question marks over both KG & Garvan. Both can do a job, but if we got an offer for either I imagine Palace would really consider it.

O'Keefe really stepped up in the last 4/5 games, won himself a new contract.. you can see that Freedman has him in the long-term plans.

If he wants to be back up for Williams then he can warm the bench for us.

If a decent offer comes in then flog him. Been here two years and done nothing in that time to suggest he can hold down a regular place in our team.

Williams won't play every game. Garvan is the best replacement we have.

In games we were chasing he was fantastic and proved he could pass.

When we moan that we are too direct I don't see why people want one of the few players we do have who can pick a pass to be sold.

If we're going to get the ball to the feet of new strikers,garvan is the only central midfielder we have capable of threading the passes to them.

On the transfer website it says his contract runs out at the end of this month,so if he hasn;t been offered another one,my guess is he's gone.Far to technical for our game plan.Kg will be in there.

No, his footballing ability is not in question. He's not good enough defensively to start on a regular basis. he'd leave us too exposed, and as GreatGonzo has rightly pointed out, a midfield pairing of Jedinak and Garvan is not quick enough. We'd be over-run. UNLESS we were on top.

So I think he would be a major asset to have on the bench. I'd bring him on in place of O'Keefe if the other team were sitting back, and allowing us loads of possession. But all the evidence so far suggests that Dougie wants to set us up as a defensively solid team that can open defences on the counter attack. Garvan doesn't really fit into that brief imho.

I don't think KG will start this season. I think O'Keefe has earnt the shirt. And I also believe that Williams will start 40 games and that he will be able to thread the balls through.
