Southampton were one of the dirtiest teams I have ever seen play Palace at Selhurst and should have had two red cards to go with the six yellow ones that they picked up for their cynical play.

They have no reason to be given the plaudits that the media heap on them just because they have several players that can do no wrong in the eyes of them.

I wonder if their fans will be so arrogant now that they could implode as the vultures are circling following their management team flying the nest.

Don't mind Southampton at all - their fans were the best I've come across this season by a distance. I know a few as well - they dislike Brighton almost as much as us. In fact, one turned on a Brighton fan down my parents local in Sussex who was giving me grief about Palace. He pointed out that at least I support a proper football club - good lad.

When Southampton used to play at their old ground the Dell, away fans were treated to one of the worst views in football standing on the terrace in what resembled an animal cage as you peered through the bars.
Funny when Palace took over their pub though the night that we were top of Division One until we lost the match 4-1 to them.

This was the only time that Palace had led the top division in my memory after our 4-1 demolition of Ipswich had seen us go top.

I don't think their fans would be too impressed with an ex pompey manager.

Some people will always be worried about something, they can't help it!

Odds slashed overnight I understand and today Sunderland have told Saints to go away.

Same source (knows who sh*t in our changing room at the Amex but won't tell me) has told me Poyet and co are very keen to come back to the South.

It would take me a long time to point out all the clear factual errors made by Palace fans in this thread. These aren't matters of opinion (there are lot of them as well I could take issue with), but just things which are stated to be true about Saints but aren't. Ill-informed, yet still commenting as a matter of fact.

Not really surprising given it was inherited.
On what is that based? She's owned the club for 4 years and has seen investment of 73m in players and 30m improving the training ground. She goes to most games and even went to the annual staff end of season game. If she wanted to sell at a profit she could have done that in 2010, instead she has continued to invest.

Maybe we can put in a cheeky bid for Clyne and Fonte.

What comes around goes around as Southampton fans have given us loads of stick and bragged about how much money they have, well maybe not much longer.
The club had a turnover of 100m+ this season and a wage bill of around 50m. They are fine financially.

Do you trawl every clubs fans website for mentions of Southampton in order to bore other football fans to death, or is it just us?

Thats nonsense. The 1980's were Southampton's most successful decade in terms of top flight performance. Regularly in the top half and even came 2nd in 1984!

He joined Saints aged 12 and has been at the club for 14 years. Its fair to say Saints had more input into his development than the short time he spent at Bournemouth.

That was never going to happen. For a start he isn't popular among the Saints fan base for his time at Brighton and the comments he made in the media.
