Last season here for Wilf. With a bit of luck he'll complete this one.

So how come you know this? Put up or shut up.

I accept this will probably be his last season here and that he will be off for a big offer next summer.

But even if we are adrift it would be folly to sell in January, akin to throwing the towel in, morale would plummet.

They must have stuck in a min release clause in his new contract. It can’t be less than £50m surely.
This will be his last season with us so it’s all about maximising what we get. Walcott, Wilshere, Iwobi (loan) plus £40m seems fair.

I think you’re being unrealistic about football contracts at this level.

Firstly, how do you know the exact details of Wilf’s contract?

And secondly, maybe he wouldn’t sign it without such a release clause and this was the best compromise that the club could reach with him. Doesn’t make Parish a liar, as we all know football contracts aren’t handcuffs and that a player will leave within the contract period if he really wants to.

But signing a longer contract did at least ensure that Palace would receive a good fee for him should he leave.

If the release is £35m, so what. That’s the minimum price and it doesn’t prevent other clubs from outbidding each other for him if they want him.

It really doesn’t matter....when/if Wilf decides he wants to leave, he will.

And if we are relegated, the club will probably sadly have to sell him anyway because his salary is not sustainable on the Championship income.

If we get relegated no one would begrudge Wilf leaving, but we’d be mad to sell him in January. Staying to the end of the season won’t affect the price much either way.

£35m is a joke. A move will come 1) if we are relegated 2) if someone offers top money at the end of the season(50m min)

Will Wenger even be at Arsenal next season?

50 million up front and that will probably be considered. Sigurddson went for that kind of fee.

If Moussa Sissoko can sign for Spurs for £30m from an already relegated Newcastle, Wilf should be going for at least £4m if we are relegated, and at least £50m if we stay up.

Genuinely think if we stay up we'll get another year out of him, maybe 2.

Wilf gets sheer disrespect from most opposition fans. Look at Arsenal fans reaction on social media. He's so much better than what people who see him on motd for 2 mins every Saturday night think.

He's so much better than what people think. When we went up I really thought id see some dazzling displays from opposition week in week out. Wilf shows teams up week in week out, he's a star and deserves his shot at the highest level. It's just going to take a whopping fee.
