On Talksport just now, Paul Hawksbee just said, ‘Great news for Palace fans last night as Loftus Cheek is really gearing himself up nicely for January’

Cheeky fecker. Chelsea fan Jacobs replied though, ‘I wouldn’t be so sure’

That 10m could have been so much better directed.

But we all know how much we love to end up with an unbalanced squad.
RH bears grudges. He refuses to use Riedewald, even though the player he tried to swap in, came, and hasn't really performed.

Chelsea might want to hold onto him as backup, but he might decide now is the time to go.
Let’s see how many starts he gets in the next two months!
IMO, Ruben's mind-set is all wrong for Palace.
He is confident - probably overconfident, and has his eye on the main chance, which is playing for a "super-club". He will only ever see us as a stepping-stone, and is probably out of our reach (transfer value) already.
We need to go for a young developing talent, who will grow with the club - inevitably, this would almost certainly be a player from a European league. We will not be able to lure a South-American and that would be too risky anyway.
SP seems to be building a Ruben obsession, similar to the Benteke and Sakho "campaigns". Can we afford to pay more big-bucks for a player who doesn't really want to be here ?
At least Ben and Sakho have fitted in well and look content at Palace.

I never understand this. We’re not a top 6 club, we have a small ground and smaller other streams of income.
Why not let players use us as a stepping stone. I’m sure that’s exactly what Meyer is going to do.
I have no problem with the buy for £20m, play 3 good seasons and sell for £40m model. I’m not staying let’s go buy all the Young talent up across Europe but if we get decent players who are hungry and want to impress, why not?!
