I can't imagine him starting but could be a great option off the bench.

Maybe I'm wrong to judge him so...

I would not start RLC...He is bound to be rusty and there are question marks over his tracking back. I expect Huddersfield to press and have a real go in the first half..in these circumstances I would put more faith in McArthur/Luka/Cabaye than RLC. RLC would be useful option from the bench if we are chasing the game.

I’d be starting him every time possible. One of the biggest losses we’ve had this season. After Zaha he is easily the best dribbler we’ve got. Completely wasted on the wing though. He could become a serious player. Would love to have him at the club on a long term basis

Yep, spot on, quality player, if he is fully fit he starts in my opinion.

Really not convinced tbh, a luxury player.

Doesn't work hard enough for me, would rather have a McArthur in the team who works his balls off.

This all said, would happily have him off the bench as another option.

I think this is the thing.

He's no good if you are playing a 2 man midfield, but remove the need for him to chase back to defend I would probably change my tune on him.

Put him on the bench for now. A good option, but not a starter in my mind.

It'd be interesting to see how many player weeks Chelsea have lost to injury over the last two seasons, compared to Palace.
We'll they were right about RLC and we were not.

Cabeye and Sakho passed fit, and then stating to the manager they are not ready to play yet??

Personally, I don't think it is all bad luck, maybe players were carrying injuries not picked up by our medical team? Sure injury like Sako's and Danns and Puncheons are bad luck, but Cabaye, RLC, and Zaha I am not so sure.

I sort of agree. Although I don't think it's chasing back that's the problem, he does do that, but where he is lax is being defensively aware, and getting back early; too often he's caught sleeping and has to react when it's too late. Watford's goal against us is an example.

Looks good wandering around an England friendly, not been overly impressed when he hasn't been injured.
Hopefully he proves me wrong and scores some important goals.

Goes missing a bit when things get lairy, but he has quality on the ball and should be raring to go after this lay off and Palace's belief in him (i.e. Not sending him back to the scaffs in January.)

Bring some chaos, Ruben.

Looking at some comments on here I would say he is vastly underrated. Agree with previous poster, one striker ( Sorloth) with RLC just behind. J Mac and Milo holding Wilf and Andros on the wings.

Agree with everything you say and would add RLC is more likely to break through from midfield and do something than anyone else we have or anyone else we have had in midfield since the day we came up. Since Benteke is basically a wasted shirt right now, let's give Sorloth the environment of two wingers and an AM who might actually help him from midfield then see what he can do.

One of few players that can really make things happen running with the ball from midfield. With RLC, Zaha and Townsend we are so much more threatening as teams can't just focus on stifling one area.
