I'd just like him to actually react to what is said sometimes- and this is of course intended as a positive thread as I start it to counter all those people running round after about 8 games claiming we are down already and that every match is a six pointer. I just think his brand of optimism would be more appreciated if he actually engaged - or maybe it is just me that he ignores and never replies to.

It is not a blight against you SW16 girl that I don't reply directly to your posts but the fact is that you do not insult me like some of the negative cretins that plague the BBS and literally have nothing good to say about the club that they claim to support.

They resort to abuse and childish emotes in their replies to me which only shows their ignorance.

What gets me is that many of them do not even go to Palace games and seem to lap it up when we are struggling or not winning games.

It is at these times that the fans need to show their support and not just when the team are doing well.

Thankfully they are very much in the minority and are not a true reflection on the Palace fans that give such admirable support at Palace matches home and away.

Statistically we have gained more points from the last 5 games than any of the other teams in the bottom 10. So, there's a positive.

I think the original table is correct, most recent result shown on the left which is slightly counterintuitive.

Interesting to note that Man City, Liverpool and little old us are the only three teams not to have suffered any losses in their last five games!

That's encouraging. Although our last 5 games have been against bottom half sides: Bournemouth, West Brom, Brighton, Stoke, Everton

As already stated in this thread we have used up far too many of the 'easier' home games and not won when we really should have. I think I'm right in saying we have only played one home game against a top half team so would be relying heavily on our away form to have any chance of staying up, and we haven't even scored away from home yet! I'm not giving up completely but it's certainly starting to look unlikely that we will get out of the s**t this time.

Ffs..these are our 'must win' games on our 'easy run before xmas'

We appear not to be winning any of them.

Statistically you are barking mad.

I don't see why we can't beat the top half teams at home, for the last four years we've struggled to beat the bottom half at home anyway, so not sure why people think it's disastrous we haven't won those games again this year.

Aha!!! Oops ... I must admit that half of me says "Picking up points, good ..." - whilst the other half says "Dropped points via stupid mistakes ..". My worry is that unless we can get on some sort of run of winning form, this will not be enough ... although at least we're back in the "pack" now ..... I suppose that statistically, that is all nonsense however ..! 21 games left = 63 points ..... Man city still to play once .... so 60 points available .... Righto I'll try and sober up now!!

Thanks for your reply - I do think that you are hard on fans that may question what is happening on here - they are in many cases the same ones cheering for the team on the pitch but may want to discuss worries and concerns - not all but a fair number. Being a pessimist does not make you a bad fan just a more gloomy one.

On the sky app it says that we lost the most premier league games in 2016 (22) and have so far lost the most in 2017 (20). What a slog it has been over the last couple of years.
