Or they can vote Labour and decimate the economy - and their next jobs with it ...

Yes, Labour needs to try to address why they have been losing working class support and losing constituencies in the north and Midlands that they traditionally won. Maybe 2022 will be far enough away from the 2008 depression and bank bailouts to start again. The chaos of Brexit might outweigh the lowest unemployment since 1974/5 and get the working class to start voting for Labour again. Labour will have to make a promise to them at least a big as the £17bn promise to cut tuition fees for students. Perhaps a pension scheme for them that is as good as the ones you get in the utilities and public sector.?

Isn't it really associated with the steep loss of bargaining power resulting from extremely precarious and penurious "employment" and the emasculation of the unions? Not sure that money alone can help that; it will need to be a kind of money that also empowers.

So £2 trillion debt, loss of our AAA rating, and the lowest growth in all of the EU, is the base now that we measure other future alternative governments, is it Richard?

And according to that Malta fell to the nazi jackboot. Despite Malta being the most bombed area in WW2 they held firm and broke the blockade. Malta was vital in winning the African campaign and launching on to mainland invasion.

It's one thing getting the map wrong but a second level of historical ignorance. I thought Brexiteers were proud knowledgeable Brits.

Interesting statistics that quite surprised me. Income percentage growth by family is highest amongst 30-49 year olds. It has been lowest among the elderly although it's starting to pick up for them. Not looking so great for those under 30 or between 65 and 75.

What surprised me was the average gross wage for all ages , I am sure it's higher than the government figures on average wages .

It's actually income rather than wages. So it includes pensions, savings, dividends etc. A lot of the data is also family based. Looking at that survey over the years, the price of gas and electricity is often the key spending power variable so this winter could be tricky.

Still surprises me that the main earners in UK households are grossing so much compared to the ONS median average household income figures .

This is the latest information ( jan 2017) i can find on the subject .
