People love a conspiracy theory. He was good for England, but I can't believe his theory. Reading his comments was thoroughly depressing. It's all very far fetched and I can't help wondering what Sol sees when he looks in the mirror.

When he was first made England captain I believe he was the second youngest ever a England captain, after Bobby Moore.
Considering he played in a natural captain's position how many times did he captain his club? |

I've seen this before. This is just the beginning. It wont be long before he starts wearing turquoise and claiming the FA are shape shifting lizards.

All I see is a good footballer with an inflated view of his own importance desperately trying to say look at me.

He is so stupid. It wasn't because he is black. It is because he is a gay transsexual.

Chief - his name isn't Solomon. A simple query on the Webulator tells us that his name is 'Sulzeer Jeremiah "Sol" Campbell'.
Solomon is the character who '12 Years A Slave' is based on. |

I'm a club over country man myself, so as long as the Palace captain is always a white anglo-saxon, I'm happy.

Matt Le Tissier would have been England captain for 20 years if he hadn't come from Jersey.

Soloman lost out to: Tony Adams - An alcoholic with issues Alan Shearer - Hardly inspiring David Seaman - lets not go there. Owen - Disinterested midget Gerrard - Violent Coldplay fan Terry - where to begin? Soloman probably is a delusional twat, but up against that lot he might still have a point. |

I also think the England captaincy tends to go to the person who attracts positive attention from the media and will also help sell the most shirts.
So during Sol's time this was usually Shearer (iconic striker who is mature and good with the media) and Beckham (handsome, media darling, puts loads more bums on seats at the press conferences). Sol doesn't compete with those two when it comes to both media handling and being a charismatic leader. He probably did at club level, where the priorities are different. |

So he isn't called Solomon? Always assumed he was. Still a bit of a twat though.
